Your role:

MilliporeSigma Corporation is searching for Licensing and Business Development Associate Director within our Chemistry franchise in Science and Lab Solutions. You will identify and execute in-licensing and distribution opportunities with external partners in line with the strategy of the business field. You will source and manage a broad network of partners with the intent to develop a robust pipeline of opportunities for strategic partnerships and licensing opportunities contributing toward annual revenue and margin targets. You will be responsible for scouting partners, evaluating and negotiating deals, and drafting and executing contracts while coordinating multiple cross-functional stakeholders such as R&D, legal, product management, regulatory, and quality. Working closely with strategy and other business development colleagues, you will additionally contribute to the inorganic portfolio strategy and cultivate M&A targets.

Travel, including international, up to 40% of time (when safe). Open to any location with close proximity to an airport.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science or Chemistry AND 5+ years industry experience in product management, product development, or business development
Or
  • Graduate Degree in a Scientific field AND 3+ years industry experience in product management, product development, or business development
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiation and knowledge of basic contract language and contract negotiation.
  • Strong business acumen and customer orientation.
  • Strong networking and intelligence gathering skills.
  • Ability to operate as individual contributor in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and limited resources

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA
  • Experience working within a matrixed environment.
  • Understanding of IP protections, contract negotiations, and Venture Capital
  • German, French, or Mandarin proficiency
