Lift Truck Operator

DESCRIPTION:

This is a Monday - Friday day shift position. A Shipping Lift Truck Operator performs various job functions to support the operation of the Shipping Department. The duties range from cleaning the warehouse to transporting material from the production area to the warehouse.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate forklift
• Deliver shipment ready material to the warehouse and verify that it is labeled correctly
• Load trucks as scheduled or as directed by supervisor
• Operate the shipping yard truck.
• Perform maintenance checks on lifts and keep engine compartment free of dust build up
• Assist with keeping warehouse clean and organized.
• Communicate any problems or ideas that you have to the Shipping Supervisor
• Help inventory material
• Performs other related duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Forklift experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to operate propane filling and dispensing equipment
• Must be able to work in varying temperatures, following weather patterns, and working in dusty environments
