LNL New Business Specialist

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

This position is within the New Business Department of Liberty National. The specialist will process applications through Captiva program, key information on applications, and preform export as end of the day. Help key applications through ISA, assist with daily reports, and ensure all applications are processed daily. Specialist will assist agents and agency owners with questions or any issues with applications.

  • Key all New paper applications daily
  • Responding to email communication daily, includes answering questions, processing requests in timely manner
  • Key manual ISA policies into COD status that have been amended according to underwriting guidelines
  • Key and correct all SS number for State of Alabama employee's
  • Complete Endorsement Letters to notify proposed insured of policy changes that impact premium and policy rating
  • Send notification of premium waivers through daily spreadsheet with information received from issue clerks
  • Process any policies that need to be rekeyed for UW to process based on info from agents
  • Assist with LNL New Business email box when overflow occurs to ensure prompt response to email inquiries
  • Export files daily in order to "close" the days business.
  • Assist agent and any other departments to get policies issued
  • Manually process any OPAI applications that error form the mainframe system
  • Manually process any applications that are erroring out in the mainframe system
  • Perform new product testing
  • Cancel all COD applications when correspondence has not been received within 45 days
  • Process agent cancellation requests

Required Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate with various levels of management on a professional level
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, with the ability to learn new computer systems.
  • Team player
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet departmental deadline
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail
  • Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift
  • Ability to work Full-Time and/or Part-Time based on the specific position for which you're applying

Required Knowledge & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 Years Insurance experience
