You as the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for handling a variety of tasks including but not limited to the proficient use of diagnostic and miscellaneous maintenance tools in the repair of all facility and production equipment. Responsible for handling a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, engineering design support, layout, fabrication, installation, diagnostic analysis, preventive maintenance and repair of all building HVAC and equipment electrical circuits, switchboards, distribution panels, transformers, breakers, switch gear, load banks, DC simulators, transfer switches, lighting and power systems, fire and life safety systems, and automation controls of varying design and complexity. Responsible for providing leadership and support for any subcontract electricians.

This position is located in Westerville, Ohio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Hand Tools Used: Depending on operation, will use any or all of, but not limited to, the following as applicable: power and hand tools.
  • Machines and Equipment Involved: Depending on operation, will use any or all of, but not limited to, the following as applicable: welding tools and equipment, diagnostic equipment, general hand and power tools, drill press, notcher, brake, shear, grinder, wire puller, threading machine, and conduit bender.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • HVAC License, preferred.
  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics preferred
  • Must obtain welding certification or any other required certifications as deemed appropriate.
  • Journeyman Electrician (Must have served minimum 4 years Electrician apprenticeship)
  • Candidate must have a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (N.E.C.), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and State and local building code standards and must perform all work to meet these requirements.
  • Candidate must have a strong understanding of high voltage test equipment, automation controls, electrical distribution circuits, and fire alarm systems.
  • Candidate must have excellent and proficient pneumatic knowledge and diagnostic and repair skills.
  • Must have 5 years of experience working on equipment/machinery.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude, basic mathematical skills, the ability to learn to read and understand SFA transmittals and drawings, basic computer skills and the ability to learn to use Liebert Enterprise Software as appropriate.
  • Maintain regular attendance and have the ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
  • Candidate must be physically able to turn repetitively and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to be qualified to use all material handling equipment including forklift, scissor lift, and articulating boom lift to heights of 30 ft.
