Position Purpose/Summary: Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for the implementation of the preventative and regular maintenance program. Duties include creating and tracking work orders, purchase orders, and requisitions; assembling parts kits for jobs; researching parts/vendors and getting quotes; developing/editing work instructions; managing and distributing inventory; making recommendations for continuous improvement; tracking and reporting a variety of information; and other duties as needed. Job duties and expectations may be expanded or refined over time as we strive for continuous improvement across our maintenance efforts.

Essential Functions: (1) Creates and updates Maintenance Work Orders in Maintenance CMMS system. (2) Reports work order data in various formats. (3) Generates, issues and maintains PM’s for Maintenance and the Mill. (4) Maintains Inventories of machine parts. Audits inventory levels and places re-stock orders. (5) Makes recommendations of spare parts to keep in stock/obsolete parts to remove from stock. (6) Obtains quotes for parts/materials for daily Work Order orders and inventory re-stock. (7) Supports Maintenance Personnel in computer data entry, part inventory transactions and part research for quoting (8) Receives, kits and catalogs incoming parts. Communicates receipts to their owners. (9) Sets up new users, new capital projects, new equipment, new inventories, new PM’s, etc. in Maintenance CMMS system (10) Works on projects as assigned to continuously update/standardize workflow for success of Planning Program.

Qualifications: (1) Good understanding (or ability to obtain good understanding) of mill operational requirements, consisting of knowledge of mill’s machinery centers, supplies, inventories and tools is helpful. (2) Ability to work well in a team environment under limited supervision and supports our CORE VALUES of service, absolute integrity, family and sharing the success. (3) Forklift Certification (or ability to obtain certification). (4) Be proficient in MS Office software or equivalent; LINKS or similar experience preferred. (5) Ability to write and present reports, procedures, and other information. (6) Ability to interpret instructions and other information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and apply general and technical information to solve practical problems.
