MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I - 3rd Shift

Starting wage of $25.52 plus $3.00 shift differential

$2,000 Sign - On - Bonus

Hours: full-time position.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assist in keeping Production, HVAC, facility equipment and infrastructure in good working order.
  • Detect and assist in correcting errors before the machine, or the products it produces, are damaged.
  • Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to communicate and document work performed on equipment.
  • Be able to effectively operate equipment as required.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, as needed based on production demands.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to and communicate to others the Health, Safety and Quality policies, including use of PPE.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Safety and Cleanliness
  • Adhere to safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Wear company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) such as uniforms, gloves, hairnets.

Are You?
  • A High School or Vo-Tech School graduate or equivalent.
  • Proficient in basic computer use – able to quickly learn and efficiently use new systems.
  • Reliable with good attendance record.
  • Safely operate and use standard shop equipment.

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of and/or previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certification: Technical certification in maintenance or working towards mechanic, electrical, or other equipment related discipline.

Do You?
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient in math skills (imperial & metric), as well as measurement and use of measurement tools.
  • Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Time-management – organized with ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Work independently and in a team environment and take direction from others.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work well with all levels in the organization.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisor.
  • The ability to read, write, and comprehend information provided.

Do you Enjoy Physical Work where you will?
  • Stand for most of the work shift.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, crouch, bend, twist, and only occasionally sit.
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Heavier amounts can be moved with assistance of equipment.

Knowledge of and/or previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus!
