This position starts at $22.20/hr, but could be more based on experience, with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. We currently have a position open for second shift.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for upkeep of the production equipment, forklift and all equipment associated in supporting production, while also being able to adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
• Must perform planned, routine, or emergency mechanical or electrical repairs on the equipment assigned by management.
• Must maintain the equipment in peak operating condition.
• Must be able to repair and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Must be able to accept written and verbal direction from supervisor.
• Must be able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
• Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent. Vocational/Technical institute and/or documented apprenticeship program will be taken into consideration.
• Must have the ability to perform planned, routine and emergency work. Must have knowledge of how to use basic hand and power tools.
• Must have knowledge in troubleshooting of equipment in an industrial environment which includes mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical components/equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management.
• Familiar with the safe operation of production line conveyor equipment. Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit temperature in adverse weather conditions including but not limited to direct sunlight, rain, and frozen precipitation for minimum of 8 hours.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver's license to operate motor vehicles. Management will appoint a trained designee to fill in for absentees and vacancies.
• ALL employees are responsible for upholding principles of SQF 2000. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to work at heights of 50+ feet. Must be willing and able to become LOTO/Confined Space certified.

Requirements: Must have a minimum 6 cumulative months industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
