Carlisle Companies Inc, a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Regional Manager of Corporate Transportation at its Carlisle, PA location.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading company compliance and safety efforts relating to DOT, support and oversight of company drivers, assessment, implementation, and audit of rules relating to storage and transport of hazardous materials and chemicals, assurance shipping paperwork is correct and compliant for domestic and international freight. This position will develop and implement compliance policies and procedures, and audit compliance with required policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Regular strategic communication with EH&S Manager and the Director of Corporate Transportation
* Act as the main point of contact to approve new chemicals in our formulations and maintain the SDS, new chemical communication and training to manufacturing facilities
* Be the CCM subject matter expert in applicable health related product standards such as CA Prop 65, REACH, TSCA permitting and Hazmat product labeling
* Assist in developing and implementing DOT policies throughout CCM
* Prepare, implement, and execute DOT training
* Participate in industry and professional interest groups to stay current on trends, issues, and technological innovation
* Participate with department management in safety audits, investigations, and inspections
* Effectively evaluate, monitor, analyze and identify all driver compliance and non-compliance issues and resolve them in a timely manner
* Responsible for helping manage internal & external compliance reporting, providing compliance advice & assistance, conducting compliance investigations, manage on-going education program
* Monitor and assist in enforcement of DOT & FMCSA regulations to ensure compliance
* Responsible for overseeing and insuring compliance with all tasks associated with:

* Driver Qualifications - Medical Cards/Physical. CDL. Annual Driving Records
* Driver Training - DOT regulations, HAZMAT training (all areas required for our industry)
* Driver Records - Processing employment applications, DOT required documents, company policies, criminal background, DOT drug and alcohol Clearinghouse.
* Conduct periodic audits of drivers and driver managers to ensure compliance and productivity through fleet management and tracking software system
* Administer random drug screens and expiration list processes including driver license and medical card renewal
* May assist in the implementation and monitoring of compliance controls, compliance procedures & operational processes
* Issue and maintain fleet cards for company drivers & company owned power units
* Apply for permits and certifications (oversize, IFTA, HAZMAT, NMFTA) for the company
* Review reporting of all vehicle, passenger, and employee accident/incidents for determination of cause and preventability and identifying potential trends
* Process and manage all driver accident claims with our insurance carrier and adjusters
* Coordinate and request Certificate of Insurances with our insurance carrier
* Conduct driver call ins and complaints while managing risk for the company
* Maintain roadside inspections and citations including overweight, traffic, violations, etc.
* Respond to CEMTREC events as appropriate
* Review Driver Inspection Reports daily and communicate with driver management to correct, validate the resolution
* Manage safety and quality for all not fault and at fault incidents
* Calculate and file quarterly fuel taxes for the company timely
* File Heavy Vehicle Use Tax annually and as qualified trucks are purchased
* Conduct the renewal and MCS-150 filing for the company every other year
* Validate and process billing for background checks, drug testing, physicals, Pre-Pass
* Serve as the administrator for fleet management software and stay abreast of updates/changes, new features
* Ensure that all training materials are kept up to date
* Oversee company trade compliance efforts, including assessment and documentation of the qualification of our products for favorable duty status via free trade agreements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* Hires and trains transportation staff.
* Supervises employees working with DOT information and regulations.
* Oversees the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of transportation employees.
* Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
* Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

Working Conditions:

* Office Environment
* Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 Additional hours beyond the 40-hour week as needed by workload or deadline

Travel Requirement

* Up to 50% travel may be required, to visit plants to audit compliance, conduct training, oversee, and coach implementation of new processes and procedures

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Transportation Management, Safety, Business, Engineering, or related field. 5 plus years of experience in transportation compliance

* Previous fleet management and tracking software experience
* Advanced computer skills with proficiency and working knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

* Ability to define processes and procedures as well as initiate task related job requirements
