JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood's Consulting business is growing, and we are seeking a talented Manufacture Execution System (MES) Consultant to support a new service line. Ideally this role would be based in Houston, TX, but a remote working arrangement from any US location will be considered for the right candidate. The candidate should demonstrate an ability to perform the regular tasks required of a project engineer: the ability to understand business problem, write functional design and specifications, implement MES applications under the guidance of Technical Lead and Project Manager, followed by testing and deployment. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with project team to build, configure, validate, and deliver project solutions to clients
  • Work with customer IT team and business users to collect functional requirements and required data for MES applications (including Aspen MES, Aveva(OSISoft) PI, Rockwell MES, etc)
  • Develop project documents including functional design and detailed design
  • Support MES applications both during project implementation and maintenance period with troubleshooting and analytical skills


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Process or Chemical preferred) or Computer Science
  • Minimum 2 years of MES project experience with Aveva MES and/or Aspen MES products (including IP.21, Aspen Production Execution System, Aspen Production Record Manager)
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS SQL Server database and/or other database skills; understanding the concept of relational database with keys and dependencies, knows how to read/modify queries
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work within a team and independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of project/application stakeholders
  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work lawfully in the US, without sponsorship from Wood
Other skills which would be considered an asset are:
  • Work experience with cloud-based solution
  • Basic knowledge in at least one programing language such as SQL Scripting
  • Experience in Oil and Gas, Power Utility, Manufacturing, Automotive, and/or Pharmaceuticals industries
