Your Role:

MEGASYS® is the branded name for EMD Electronics services offering where EMD Electronics technicians and engineers provide on-site gas and chemical/slurry management on an ongoing contractual basis. EMD Electronics has openings for Gas and Chemical Megasys Technicians for its team in Tualatin, OR. Technicians work on systems and maintain a supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LEDs, and Flat Screen TV's. This is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business.

Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including:

  • Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, slurry containers
  • Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
  • Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs
  • Support of quality systems
  • Primary communication point to customer

Our team supports the facility 24x7. The individual may initially be assigned to a (7:00 am - 3:30 pm) shift for training. Once shift independent, you may be asked to support a compressed workweek schedule as required. Inexperienced and experienced will undergo a comprehensive OJT and technical training and qualification program. 5 levels of technicians offer a fast-paced promotion track. Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience as a maintenance or equipment technician

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment
  • Navy Nuclear power school or Military mechanic trained
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, design, or engineering
