Position Summary

This position is for a summer intern to support the company's Strategy and Market Development group and will be responsible for supporting efforts in policy and regulatory analysis and with dissemination of such information across the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Perform federal and state policy and regulatory research in the areas of energy efficiency, demand management and transportation electrification.
  • Develop memoranda, slide presentations, and spreadsheets.
  • Organize document libraries.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to develop content.
  • Work on other tasks and opportunities as identified.
Position Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Enrolled in a full-time Associate's or Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university, preferably in applicable area of focus (environmental management, engineering, architecture, business administration, or sustainability).
  • Must be able to start the Summer Internship program in the middle of May and continue with the internship program until it commences in early August.
  • Preferably Junior year standing at the college level.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • An interest in working at the intersection of public policy, clean energy and business.
  • Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills, including development of written narrative, and slide presentation and spreadsheet development.
  • The capacity to operate as an organized, self-starter with a high energy level, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
  • The ability to adhere to schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Expertise in software tools including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Commitment to sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Reliable transportation

Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid driver's license

Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

Estimated Wage Range:
  • $12.50 - $17.00+/hour

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Required to sit, stand, walk; talk and hear; and ability to touch and handle tools and/or controls
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
  • Noise Level is typically moderate
  • Employee could be exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles and risk of potential shock
