Come join our team as a Material Handler/Driver! In this role, you will work to prepare, list and transport material to and from the Nordson East Providence, RI facility while driving company vehicles.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Load and unload trucks, deliver materials to the appropriate person or location.
• Effectively communicate with supervisors, managers and other personnel on transportation issues
• Plan and prioritize work to complete all scheduled and non-scheduled activities in a timely manner.
• Communicate inventory discrepancies to Inventory Manager
• Keep inventory well organized in the designated areas by warehouse locations.
• Represent EFD with local suppliers and customers in a safe, professional manner.
• Maintain & operate company vehicles with the utmost care and safety. Ensure cleanliness and
• Contribute to the success of team by submitting improvement ideas, identifying potential problems, providing feedback on procedure changes and by displaying a positive, cooperative attitude in working with others.
• Operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
• Operate forklift, other lift trucks and shrink wrapper in accordance with safety standards.
• Comply with all relevant ISO procedures.

• Range is 19.00 - 23.00 dependent on experience.

Shift Available:

• 1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Qualifications To Be Successful:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of material handling experience in a fast-paced environment, preferred.
• Operating a company vehicle 50% of the time is a requirement for this role
• DOT Medical Certificate (health card) required
• Forklift experience is necessary
• Excellent communication skills
• Superior organizational skills
• Basic computer skills needed to accurately enter data for inventory control
• Ability to read, write & speak in English along with basic math skills (must be able to accurately count and multiply)
• Attention to detail is a must
• Must have the ability to be flexible with work schedule, including the ability to work overtime

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Estimated: 50% (Local travel is part of this job. Material transport is done via Nordson trucks.)
