Area of Accountability:

Knowledge of materials movement in areas of shipping/receiving, sales order picking, inventory control and cycle count. Primary focus and master trainer in 2 of the specialized areas.

Essential Functions:

Knowledge of the below materials areas and proficient in 2 of the areas. Effective communication across all functional areas of the plant

Shipping/Receiving:

For shipping the primary focus is to ensure that all completed products along with all documentation/paperwork are shipped to customer accuracy and on time

o Schedule pick-up, create Bills-Of-Lading for domestic & export orders, including custom papers for export loads

o Properly maintain shipments within TMS so that the Billing of Sales orders and (ASN) Automatic shipping Notices is completed in a timely manner

o Follows customer shipping requirements and follows routing instructions listed on the customer's sales order

o Inspect loading operators to determine space requirements and load limits to be in compliance with shipping specifications.

o Inform manufacturing departments and customer service when issue arise that effect on time delivery

For Receiving the primary focus is to ensure all material movement coming into and from receiving is completed with necessary documentation/paperwork and are received into ERP system accurately and on time

o Maintain ERP system integrity though accuracy of receivers and research issues

o Manage distribution and subcontract orders

o Manage logistics of receiving for vendors, incoming dunnage and subcontractor materials

o Identify, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies from receiving errors and provide corrective actions

Sales Order Picking:

Primary focus is creating sales orders picks to meet customer demand to support on-time delivery to customers

o Review material shortages and work with supplier schedulers and/or production to set priorities

Inventory Control:

Primary focus is to Identify, investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies resulting from inventory picking and production reporting processes, take corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of inventory errors

o Identify root cause of inventory errors and eliminate causes of errors

Cycle Count:

Primary focus us to maintain cycle count report and correct any inventories discrepancy found

o Work with production to inform of number of lines needed counted each day to maintain 98% accuracy

o Work with finance and auditors on any inventory accuracy issues

o Identify root cause of inventory errors and eliminate causes of errors

Education and Training

• High School Education required.

• Associates degree preferred.

• 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment and/or including 3 yrs. experience in receiving, inventory control, shipping or scheduling

Minimum Qualifications

• Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), operational processes and capacity planning, required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills required

• Operates with a strong sense of urgency required

• Planning and organization skills with an ability to prioritize assignments required

• Proficiency with PC software applications (Excel and Word) required
