MATERIALS MANAGER

We are currently seeking a Materials Manager with the below qualifications:

Professional Attributes

  • Select, source and procure all materials for production needs. Resin, packaging, inserts, colorant, etc.
  • Work with operations and quality to evaluate alternative raw materials and component alternatives to reduce material costs and increase productivity.
  • Ensures purchase orders comply with corporate policies and are properly maintained for audit purposes. Ensure monitoring systems are in place for the control and optimization of this function
  • Monitor all outbound shipments to ensure error and damage free deliveries to each customer
  • Ensure all inventory levels are optimized to support forecasted customer and production requirements
  • Implement material controls to ensure optimal inventory levels in line with company inventory targets
  • Ensure supplier capabilities and systems are in line with company ISO standards, environment standards. Retain and maintain appropriate documentation from the suppliers.
  • Validate sourced materials comply with local environmental requirements (OSHA, EPA). Work closely with Quality and Operations on proper documentation (SDS, other) and material handling including waste disposal and air quality.
  • Implement and manage material control procedures/processes to ensure optimal inventory levels and accuracy.
  • Ensure inventory levels do not exceed company goals while maintaining sufficient stock to meet customer productions goals, making adjustments as necessary

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent training required.
  • IQMS working knowledge with a minimum 3 years' experience preferred, or
  • ERP, MRP working knowledge with minimum 3 years' experience.
  • Proficiency in business operations, strategic supply chain management, manufacturing, warehousing, accounting.
  • Knowledgeable with ISO9001 and ISO13485 and other quality standards.
  • Experience with supplier contractual agreements, negotiating and change management.
  • Positive attitude - Maintains positive outlook while working through challenges
