This is a part-time position, working 8 hours per week
Position Overview: Contribute to successful execution of mission critical business process by supporting VP of Medicaid Programs and to the Medicaid Administration team through research and preparation of materials. This includes creating documents, memos, presentations, charts, spreadsheets, and reports.
Essential Responsibilities:
Research and collect information relating to health care and other topics. Gather, organize, develop, and present information in a professional and concise manner. Design documents, presentation materials, develop charts and graphs, and verify statistical information. Create and maintain spreadsheets for managing metrics and other data. Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to stakeholders. Interact with all levels of management at PacificSource, on an as-needed basis. Manage projects within the scope of the position. Respond to ad-hoc requests.
Supporting Responsibilities:
Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations. Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information. Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Experience: Previous work experience in health or health care is preferred.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: High school degree or equivalent required.
Knowledge: Excellent written and oral communication. Ability to prioritize work. Effective problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines and manage workload without direct supervision. Skilled in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Understanding of business practice, maintaining confidentiality, and the security of information are vital. In addition, the position requires a high degree of adaptability to address sudden changes and to determine shifting and competing priorities.
