Job Details:

Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Andover, MN (On Site)

Type of Engagement: 6+ Month Contract

Rate: Dependent on Experience

Job Description:

• This role is to provide assistance with patient care coordination, including but not limited to: answering phones, guiding patients through the registration process, and recording patient information
• Provide clerical services; e.g.; filing, faxing, scanning, etc.
• Perform and record clinical intake from the date collection of the patient (e.g. allergies, medical history, social history, vitals, etc.)
• Collect Laboratory specimen, including but not limited to: blood draw/ venipuncture; urine samples; point of care testing; ekg; apply orthopedic devices; perform basic wound care; and fit patients with crutches

Qualifications/Experience:

• 1 year of prior customer service experience or experience in medical office setting
• Must complete medical assistant training program, or a minimum of 3 years direct patient care experience performing medical assistant duties in an urgent care, physician practice, or emergency room setting, or both.
• Works well with technology
• Specific health screens required
• Preferred: Prior experience with employer health services such as urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, and DOT physicals
