JOB DESCRIPTION

This role will direct, organize, manage and execute all aspects of the Garland Sales and Distribution strategy in the Eastern US, including achieving the financial, product roll out and volume/market share objectives. Responsibilities include local team management, setting up the distribution and service channels in the assigned territory and cultivating relationships with existing and prospective dealers, distributors, consultants, franchisees, end users and FAS to generate sales leads.

Major Accountability

  • Grow Garland's position in the assigned territory as a strategic supply partner.
  • Ensure that regional market needs are fairly and accurately taken into account in product management strategy, workflow, and training
  • Management in coordination with colleagues and providing optimization of service processes.
  • Meet agreed upon targets and service levels for Garland and each individual brand -scheduling and coordination of service processes
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Execute annual territory sales plan for selected product lines within sales territory and achieve all budgeted sales and margin goals through appropriate management of sales activities. Participate in trust-building and selling activities with significant customers.
  • Set up, manage and / or oversee management of sales channels to maximize performance with selected brands in the assigned territory, and take the lead in communication of initiatives and negotiations of agreements.
  • Establish and implement the operational models, appropriate process management systems and measurements required to drive the performance of our dealers / distributors / FAS to manage their expectations of support.
  • Contribute to various projects that help to drive/secure future business with the customers; supervise test sites for Garland; ensure that sales/service/parts and training departments provide post implementation support to projects in area/country; prepare & conduct technical/product presentations/demonstrations; develop relationships with approved food suppliers to ensure equipment representation in food laboratories & production plants
  • Maintain an up-to-date file on major competitors in the markets (products, pricing, strategy, and trends), and keep abreast of what is going on in the market in terms of product needs, customer needs, legal/environmental needs or regulatory changes,
  • and eventual other attractive business opportunities.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
