Summary:

Monitor and track shipment status to ensure delivery dates are met

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Update computer system with notes regarding all communication and changes

Communicate and respond promptly to agencies and team leads inquiries regarding the specifics movement of shipment via telephone or email

Complete and process all documentation related to the shipment

Obtain price quote for the movement of shipment

Maintain accurate records and audit documents for accuracy

Oversee and resolve any complaints

Complete all assigned prompts in GMMS

Overtime required in peak season

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in the moving industry preferred

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Excellent customer service and oral/written communication skills required.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. Must have strong data entry skills.
