Job Description Summary

This line 7 Muncher utility position is for utility jobs specific to line 7 Muncher production and any work as directed by the supervisory or lead personnel. This description covers all the required job responsibilities for line 7 stuffed spuds utilities.

Job Description

  • Perform breakdown of ingredient boxes and pallets.
  • Operate power hand jack and ingredient jacks.
  • Repeatedly lift and stack cases of ingredients as assigned.
  • Follow all good manufacturing practices
  • Perform daily stuff spuds cleanup.
  • Perform ingredient inspection duties.
  • Stand or sit in a stationary position to perform duties.
  • Scrape and remove static product on Lines 7 production equipment to include: grader room, Ishida room, and pack floor.
  • Dumps waste barrels in production area.
  • Actively practice and abide by all company work, safety and personal hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Notify Team Leader or lead of any that might impact food safety.
  • Assure gutter grates are kept in place.
  • Prepare and/or mix cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Use foaming equipment to apply cleaning chemicals to equipment.
  • Scrub equipment using scrub brushes and/or pads to clean, sanitize, and polish equipment using dilute cleaning chemicals.
  • Rinse cleaning chemicals off equipment using water hoses.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in his/her assigned area: Sweep with a broom and/or squeegee, shovel, scrub using scrub brushes and/or pads and scrapers, and rinse equipment with high-pressure water and/or air hoses.
  • Adapt to different work environments: work in the wet prep area, outside, packaging and batter area.
  • Work around Line 7 fryer and other processing equipment.
  • Prepare and/or mix cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
  • Ability to enter confined spaces and follow all confined space procedures.
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures in assigned area.
  • Used ladders or lift equipment to perform sanitation duties.
  • Participate in Behavior Based Observations and Hazard ID's as instructed by Team Leader.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in his/her assigned area including following/auditing 5S practices.
  • Utilize and inspect Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per company policy and notify Sanitation Team Leader, Team Leader or Lead if replacement is required. Per specific customer request, will be required to wear additional PPE.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader or Lead personnel

  • Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Is frequently exposed to moderately cold surroundings.
  • Is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moderate to extreme heat.
  • May occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, batter dust, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.
  • Will regularly work in an environment in which the noise level is loud.
  • May be assigned to work outside, both on and off plant property.

  • Have the ability to work with other employee's one on one or in a small group setting to accomplish plant goals as directed by Team Leader staff.
  • Have the ability carry out instructions.

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • Must be able to safely lift, push, and pull heavy items repeatedly.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination.
  • Must have good finger and manual dexterity.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Must have specific vision abilities, which include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $19.94
