This position can be fully remote OR report to our Tuscaloosa AL office, we are flexible will provide the tools for you to succeed!
What You Will Be Doing Management, administration of MySQL database platforms
Manage MySQL backups, data archiving
Offer database support, expertise on report writing, business systems, devops, other IT functions
Monitor job execution, server performance, troubleshoot issues when they occur
Facilitate database system access to third-party resources as needed
Work with other data, security and DevOps teams on implementing, maintaining source code, pipelines, security best practices
What You Need for this Position - 3+ yrs experience MySQL DBA and/or MySQL Developer, 3+ yrs experience creating, utilizing, maintaining DevOps pipelines Preferred
- Experience working with ETL tools, writing, troubleshooting SQL scripts, creating and maintaining indexes
- troubleshooting performance issues, managing security, and managing separate development, staging, and production environments
- MySQL management tools (RedGate SQL Toolbelt, SQL Clone etc)
- DevOps, source control tools and platforms ( Docker, Bitbucket, GitHub, Ansible, Azure DevOps, etc)
- Monitoring tools (Percona Toolkit, AWS Cloudwatch)
- Reporting platforms (SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Domo Workbench, Tableau)
- Writing and troubleshooting SQL statements, other DDL
- BONUS for:
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality, Melissa Data, other data quality and matching tools
- Experience with other RDBMS database platforms ( RDS, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, RedShift)
