Job Description

The position

The National Commercial Sales Engineer, together with the sales team in the Netherlands and North America, is responsible for the sales of automatic trailer loading and unloading systems in North America. The starting point of the sales activities is an existing international relationship network. The qualified engineer will know how to present ANCRA enthusiastically to customers and is driven to win projects. The sales engineer is able to close a deal and conduct firm and strategic negotiations with professional, international customers. Engagements are at board and/or senior management level of mostly large companies and multinationals organizations.

Projects have a commercial, logistical, and technical character, are often complex in nature, and have long lead times. It is an asset if the professional has knowledge of Material Handling systems. For technical support the engineer can fall back on the broad knowledge and experience within ANCRA. Affinity for technology is however a requirement.

Ancra's working area covers the international market with a focus on Europe and North America. Our clients are often renowned companies, such as Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, Conagra, Unilever, Americold, BMW, etc.. This position is focused on the North American market.

To effectively pursue this new market, Ancra is recruiting a National Commercial Sales Engineer who has the drive to develop the North American market, establish a customer base, and identify new projects. This position will work closely with the current Sales Manager, North America.

Profile

  • The National Commercial Sales Engineer has a background in the field of consultative selling.
  • Ready for the next ambitious step, has at least 5 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in a technical or logistics environment.
  • Mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering degree preferred.
  • The candidate is characterized by a highly proactive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to find new customers and open doors.
  • Experience negotiating large, complex, highly-technical, long-term contracts.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Has a positive attitude, is a problem solver, has analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to find pragmatic solutions to technical challenges.
  • Remote Position, Willing to travel within North America 75%.

Responsibilities include:

- Drafting and executing ambitious, operational sales plans

- Opening up new markets and acquiring new customers

- Executing and supervising sales processes with tasks including:
  • Taking on and processing new leads and enquiries
  • Advising on possible solutions
  • Presenting and following up offers
  • Selling projects and passing them on internally
  • Commercial project supervision during implementation
