NETWORK LAB ENGINEER- ENGLEWOOD, CO

The Select Group is seeking a Network Lab Engineer for one of its top clients in the Telecommunications industry. In this role you'll be working out of a brand new, state of the art, world class lab that is being built out currently. A big part of this role is to build-up/upgrade lab infrastructure for WiFi 7 and CBU through construction. This role requires you to be onsite 5 days a week in Englewood, CO. NETWORK LAB ENGINEER MUST HAVE SKILLS

2+ years of experience with the following:

  • Network Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of wireless networking protocols and security configurations.
Lab Environment experience
  • Racking/Stacking, Rack Installations, power configurations
  • Cabling experience
  • Cable Terminations
  • Patch Panel Writing
  • Hands-on experience with physical equipment & hardware
  • Data Center wiring experience with coax, ethernet, and fiber
  • Routing, Switching, etc.
  • i.e. Router assembling & dissembling occasional soldering of cables/headers to circuit boards
  • Cisco switch installation & configuration
Soft skills
  • Wants someone that wants to grow, eager to learn, is hungry (aka young & hungry) and is eager to work in a data center lab environment, someone that's excited about the world class lab that they are building out and where they will be working out of
  • Looking for someone that wants a home, as this will be a very long term contract (likely 2+ years)
  • Good communication skills and amicable personality that can collaborate closely with their team members, outside teams, and vendors visiting the lab

NETWORK LAB ENGINEER REPSONSIBILITIES:

* Lab infrastructure and maintenance

* Data Center wiring experience with coax, ethernet, and fiber

* Equipment rack & stack, rack installation, and power configuration

* Cable termination - patch panel wiring

* Troubleshooting a multitude of different connection issues with RF meter/Multimeter

* Manage and execute JIRA ticket queue

* Router disassembly & assembly with occasional soldering of cables/headers to circuit boards

* Team Collaboration & Leadership

* Collaborate with multiple teams and members to complete projects

* Provide guidance to junior engineers and team members.

* Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
