PARTS MANAGER-Coach USA

Responsibilities:
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, must be adaptable to company needs
    Must have very strong organizational skills, to keep and maintain both physical and written inventory in a clean and orderly fashion (Filing, document distribution and housekeeping)
  • Check and compare prices to purchase parts from contract vendors. Always checking Coach USA sister company inventories for non-moving parts on their shelf first
  • Maintains a complete inventory of parts and supplies to support a fast-paced maintenance shop within acceptable Coach USA requirements
  • Must be proficient in securing parts, as well as parts returns for wrong or damaged parts, cores, warranty issues and all aspects of shipping and receiving
  • Mark all parts with proper identification ID or barcode
  • Creates purchase orders for purchases, receives parts in, prepare paperwork to be forwarded off to accounting dept. for payment in a timely fashion.
  • Issues parts and documents use
  • Builds and maintains relationship with vendors
  • Conducts monthly parts audits.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Daily review of finished work orders to ensure accuracy of parts used, location and vehicle used on
  • Must be proficient with the operation of a forklift or possess the ability to be proficient after training and certification
  • Perform record keeping and clerical functions for the purpose of supporting mechanics
  • Assist other personnel, as may be required, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment



Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED
  • Driver's license required
  • Experience with automotive, heavy duty truck parts in a fast place environment


Skills and Knowledge required:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to forecast
  • Ability to identify and locate parts and supplies
  • Basic computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft suite or similar programs
  • Must be able to operate forklift
  • Must be able to work under pressure


Physical requirements:

  • Occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a shop environment

Necessary Skills:

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, stay current with needed skills to meet challenging job conditions. Working with frequent interruptions; and maintaining confidentiality
  • Attention to detail is a necessity.
  • Must have basic reading, writing and math skills. Should be able to work and interact with all levels of personnel
  • Must understand and comply with all federal and company safety rules and policies
  • Perform various other duties assigned
