Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a board certified/board eligible neurologist with a fellowship in Movement Disorders, EMG, or Memory Care/Dementia. With the largest Joint Commission Stroke Certified hospital network in the southeast, Wellstar is a leader in providing efficient, quality, personalized care to every patient, every time. Wellstar is a clinician lead, not-for-profit integrated health system. The incoming physician will join an established practice that focuses on providing high quality, compassionate care and be part of a collaborative service line of 100 physicians and advance practice providers in Neurosciences.
This is a traditional Neurology position with our Marietta practice.
Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center is a 633-bed Level II Trauma center which provides comprehensive neurological care with 24/7 neurointerventional, neurosurgical, neuroradiology and neurology services. Kennestone has the busiest emergency room in the state of Georgia with over 2,000 patients with stroke presenting to the health system. The facilities include a 23-bed integrated neurological ICU. The Neurohospitalist is supported by Advanced Practice Providers, a stroke coordinator, research coordinators and an integrated physician core group of neurosurgeons and neurologists. The Wellstar Research Institute supports physician initiated, NIH and industry sponsored clinical trials.
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or equivalent
Clinical residency in Neurology
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid State of Georgia Medical License
Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
