Area of Accountability:

Oversee aspects of the planning function at the Kendallville, IN manufacturing / distribution facility to achieve internal and external customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Administers various functions associated with inventory management / production scheduling
• Ensures assigned JIT materials are effectively managed with regard to the organization's goals of productivity, delivery, quality, inventory management, downtime reduction, and cost control
• Accountable for the integrity of MRP data and the inventory levels associated with MRP planning
• Analyzes material purchases in order to determine most cost-effective freight options available
• Adheres to all inventory and production policies and procedures and develops recommendations for continuous improvement in order to improve effectiveness

Education and Training

• Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited college/university in Business or related discipline, High school diploma required
• APICS certification a plus

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ years of production scheduling or inventory control experience preferred
• Knowledge of MRP / QAD, KANBAN, JIT, and quality systems preferably ISO9000
• Strong PC skills especially with Excel
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent planning & organization skills with an ability to prioritize assignments
• Work with a sense of urgency and handle multiple projects at once required
