Location: Augusta, ME
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Planning Manager

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Determine customer needs/facility requirements and prepare a feasibility study to include conceptual design and preliminary cost estimate.
• Develop final design and cost estimates.
• Prepare work orders and materials specifications.
• Perform field surveys and stakeouts.
• Acquire necessary permits and State/County/Municipality approvals.
• Coordinate the design and work process between the customer, contractors, trades, other utilities, municipality, and others involved in the process.
• Input data into the SAP WMS and SmartMap systems, GIS, others and reconcile project completions.
• The field planner will also be responsible for the following Survey and GPS Support Services
• Provide alternatives to completing specific projects,
• Complete preliminary surveying and layouts,
• Conduct field measurements and/or field surveys to produce base plans for engineering design.
• Plan, conduct, and document the final surveying maps:

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Manage 4-Field Planners, coordinate with Planning and Engineering, consolidate, and order all materials annually, manage settings request process and PayCU quality check process when contractors provide construction proposals.
• Manage all the work from the hand off to the team by Distribution Planning to the hand off of POs when construction starts.
• Subject Matter Expert
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
