What you'll do...

The Principal Product Manager of Affiliate Marketing is a product leadership role that owns the principles, processes, and impact of technology and automation initiatives to scale Walmart's Affiliate marketing program. Reporting to the Director of Product for the Marketing Data Horizontal, Affiliates and DPS, you'll sit at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and marketing innovation in achieving our objectives.

Role requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, or related field and 6 + years' experience in product management, project management, management consulting, retail or eCommerce business functions. MBA preferred.
  • Deep understanding of product management as a practice and experience with running product scrums with engineers and data scientists

  • Strong analytical capabilities to assess impact of various initiatives using marketing analytics and experimentation capabilities.
  • Domain expertise in Affiliate Marketing and knowledge of associated marketing automation techniques, and measurement methods.
  • Confident and comfortable with writing detailed implementation requirements and guiding engineers to project completion.
  • Being a great communicator who is skilled at diplomacy and aligning stakeholders with competing priorities, including senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create the vision and roadmap and ensure the execution for the Affiliates platform. These investments will be pivotal in making Walmart a leading retailer in the Affiliate community.
  • Lead planning and prioritization of projects in the above realms to achieve marketing goals. Work with marketers to understand new Affiliates marketing opportunities and develop scalable and extensible automation features that support varying needs of the Walmart business.
  • Build integrations with new Affiliate partners to support growth in key areas, including retail revenue, subscription adoption, and driving profitability.
  • Deploy innovative ways to do Affiliate marketing at scale, to feature millions of Walmart products on diverse content formats. These solutions will assist our growing Affiliate base to optimize their featured products to maximize their commission potential, while driving retail revenue for Walmart.
  • Expand the scope of the Affiliate Marketing program by growing into new innovative areas like locally relevant/store specific social stories, and tooling to support creators and their content.

  • Work closely with Walmart and partner engineers to manage implementation cycles and ensure robust integrations are tested, validated and monitored. As part of this, you will own developing PRDs that execute the product development and launch lifecycle.
  • Collaborate deeply with our Marketing Analytics organization to formalize methods to attribute campaign performance and identify areas of incremental revenue.
  • Be comfortable looking at reporting dashboards to debug any integration issues.
  • Represent the team with the advertising ecosystem and performance marketing leadership to align on prioritization and develop cases for resourcing.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $168,000.00-$252,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives
