Position Summary

Provide consulting, quality assurance and software development support for technology used in MEPPI's products and services.
Essential Functions

  • Provide consultation and guidance for divisions regarding best practices and guidelines during the development, implementation and support of computer-based product and service offerings.
  • Assist with developing, managing and implementing compliance guidelines, policies and procedures for division products and services technology to maintain compliance with internal and external cybersecurity and privacy initiatives. Develop and execute audit plans based on these policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Identify, research, evaluate and recommend new technology products, services and trends to the divisions and company management.
  • Maintain a catalog of product and service technology used by the operating divisions.
  • Ensure product and service technology software is fully developed, tested, version controlled, and deployed using applicable lifecycle management methodologies and platforms. Assist with selecting, maintaining and utilizing applicable tools to support this function.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, consultants and service providers for product and service technologies.
  • Participate as product and service technology expert for customer meetings and communications.
  • Participate as product and service technology expert for acquisition and investment opportunities.
  • Keep current with the latest product and service technologies by participating in technology and regulatory committees, technology user groups, and industry tradeshows and events.
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the IT Department by conducting business with other MEPPI division, departments, consultants, and vendors in a timely and cooperative manner.
  • Know MEPPI's Quality, Safety and Environmental policies. Be able to fully discuss the importance of these policies and how they impact work.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer-related field with a minimum 7 years of technology-related work experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of operational technology architecture, industrial control systems, and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry specific regulatory requirements that affect product and service technology.
  • Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with employees and vendors.
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and ERP systems
