Job Description

This is a remote position; the selected candidate can reside and perform the work from anywhere within the United States.

Our Customer Experience Design group is seeking a passionate and hardworking Product Designer to create customer-facing experiences across multiple brands and digital platforms. Our work touches millions of lives across web, mobile, and wearable interfaces.

As a Product Designer, you would collaborate with other designers, researchers, technologists, and business stakeholders to craft meaningful experiences for our customers through thoughtful design. Validated knowledge with having interaction and visual design skills, an understanding of user-centered design, and a passion for designing digital products.
Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with team members to craft extraordinary user experiences across all products and platforms for vehicle features
  • Balance user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to tackle problems successfully
  • Craft interaction designs, advocating usability and user-centered design principles
  • Create design deliverables to communicate your work including sketches, logic and flow, prototypes, wireframes, mockups, and specifications
  • Measure and analyze user experience research and testing to validate designs, get user feedback, and see opportunities to improve the customer experience
  • Work with product owners and key partners to brainstorm and find opportunities, executing them as a detailed part of the overall user experience

Creativity:Youcangenerate numerous potential solutions to a problem. More importantly, product designers can screen out bad ideas and identify good ones. In our design environment, a designer needs the ability to brainstorm without ego attachment to any particular idea.

Superb communication skills:You can communicate broad concepts as well as fine detail through written and graphical media. You can convey design solutions through sketches and visualizations, as well as through prose.

A quick study:Youcanunderstand systems and processes, both in software and in the real world. You will be required to digest and understand the many complex factors that govern vehicle design, from social and peer norms to a multinational regulatory environment. You will be able to successfully navigate those factors as you create design solutions.

Outstanding collaboration skills:You are an effortless collaborator.Youwelcome ideas from any source, and are prepared to build on them to make the work of your team successful.

Comfort with ambiguity: You are comfortable working in a space where problems and solutions are not well defined. You can cope with change, shift gears comfortably, and can decide and act without having the total picture.

Additional Job Description
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience crafting user interfaces, digital products, or sophisticated software applications across a range of channels
  • Strong portfolio with work samples showcasing expertise in user experience design, creativity, and depth of thought
  • Open to feedback, knows how give and receive criticism, and how and when to defend design decisions
  • Experience incorporating research into the design process
  • Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in common design tools like Axure, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, and Sketch
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to identify and apply technology to achieve design goals
  • Prototyping experience (software and/or hardware development experience a plus)
Education and Experience
  • Formal degree or training in HCI, Product Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design or related

Compensation: The median level of salary compensation for this role is $109,283.00

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
