Job Summary and Essential Functions: The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position.

Plan, organize and run machine efficiently to maximize material utilization on Atom Flash Cutter.

Responsibilities:

• Operator Atom cutter per specification and formulate efficient operational programs that maximize material utilization using 2D-3D Computer Aided Design software.

• Be responsive to the short-term needs of the shop to keep the machines running efficiently.

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on the machine.

• Verifies conformance to specifications.

• Responsible for the proper handling and management of waste generated in work area.

• Reads production paperwork to determine specified requirements to manufacture.

• Determine if the material supplied meets production requirements.

• Removes cut pieces from sheet and examines for defects associated with cutting including edge quality and surface nonconformities including scratches.

• Fills out production paperwork and timekeeping records. In-Process and Final Audit Report.

• Correctly fill out tags associated with production to identify parts produced. (Identification and Traceability)

• Is required to read drawings to review characteristics that need to be monitored. If assistance is required then the operator is to get help from the Production Cell Leader or QA.

• Monitors the calibration of the equipment they use within their department.

• Ability to check parts utilizing calipers, and micrometers

• Ability to measure parts effectively to guarantee conformity to print specifications.

• Ability to perform basic maintenance

• Perform other work-related tasks as required

• Comply with all Company and HSE procedures and policies

• Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly work area in compliance with facility housekeeping policies. (6S Standards).

• Wears required safety equipment and follows the equipment safe operation procedures.

Competencies & Minimum Qualifications

• Technical, High school diploma or equivalent.

• Knowledge and experience using Auto CAD Software

• Read and interpret Blueprints / drawings

• Read, write, speak, and understand English, and be able to communicate with other employees.

• Ability to use basic measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers.

• Computer literate

• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
