MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate Production Activities: Collaborate with production supervisors to plan and execute production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards.

Hands-On Support: Actively participate in production tasks as needed including but not limited to getting packages and printing tickets for the next orders run. Acts as a backup shift supervisor if needed.

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, inventory logs, and quality control documentation. Generate regular reports for management review. Collects daily OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) reports and uploads them into Oracle (ERP). Inputs any outstanding information for OEE reports.

Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials, supplies, and finished products to support production needs and prevent shortages or overages. Counts and tracks regrind, scrap and other materials as required. Completes daily and weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory is correct.

Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality control teams to ensure products meet specifications and standards, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address any quality issues. Assists supervisor in auditing logs for accuracy and completeness. Ensures they are provided to the quality team.

Safety Compliance: Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.

Training and Development: Assist in training new production team members on processes, equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality standards to ensure a competent and skilled workforce.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements within the production workflow, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement changes.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Previous experience in a production environment, preferably in a hands-on role supporting production supervisors.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with production machinery and equipment, ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, and troubleshoot operational issues.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain accurate records.

Communication Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with production teams, supervisors, and other departments.

Problem Solving Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze situations, identify issues, and implement solutions to keep production on track.

Team Player Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work culture.

Computer Skills: Working Knowledge and Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role, with additional technical training or certifications related to production processes and equipment being beneficial.The hands-on support to production supervisors is critical in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and safety of production operations.
