Role Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manager will be responsible for initiation, management and delivery of a number of projects within the GMS project portfolio (i.e. through the full lifecycle from RFP/business case development through implementation, go live and closure), engaging the necessary stakeholders and forming and leading project teams as required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and manage appropriate and effective project governance structures so that it is effective at all levels and aligns with Kalamazoo's Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain (GMS) governance structures.
  • Development, management and tracking of all required project documents, including but not limited to the following: Project plans, Stakeholder maps, status reports, cutover plans, training plans and lessons learned logs.
  • Monitor overall project progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare GMS project reports setting out project progress vs plan, key risks, and items for escalation.
  • Report to Kalamazoo Site Leadership and business stakeholders on project progress - chairing project meetings as appropriate.
  • Manage robust processes for risks, issues, and dependencies both within and external to the Site and ensure they are pro-actively identified, logged, and tracked with clear owners, review dates and mitigations.
  • Manage a diverse range of project stakeholders both internal and external to the organization.
  • Manage handover of projects to the business ensuring appropriate support arrangements and training is in place.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
  • Demonstrated strengths in the following capabilities: leadership, operational management, supply chain, decision-making, critical-thinking and technical skills pertaining to project management, negotiating, and conflict resolution.
  • Working knowledge of SAP strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of innovation, focus on performance, continuous improvement, and development/implementation of best practices.
  • Track record of understanding and meeting customer and market needs.
  • Proven history of effective performance management, coaching, mentoring of team members.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement of objectives and commitment to the Zoetis Core Beliefs.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Project, and ability to learn Zoetis systems. OnePager is a nice to have.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, or business-related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain roles.
  • Multi-lingual is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, good influencing, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Motivated, self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to business collaborative skills aligned to achieving project objectives in a manner that is supportive of the Zoetis Core Beliefs.
  • Must have experience as a Project Manager through the full lifecycle of the project (from project initiation to implementation).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing multi-disciplinary, culturally diverse teams (technical, engineering and business professionals and contractors) to deliver projects safely, and on time.
  • Detail oriented, organized, reliable, resourceful with a relentless focus on outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the Zoetis organization.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Animal Health industry is a plus.

The work conditions for this position are 50% stationary and 50% standing and walking throughout the workday. Potential for domestic and/or international travel up to 5%. The colleague may be required to utilize certain Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing. Cannot be sensitive to cephalosporins or penicillin.
