Description:
Our client is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to work on a hybrid schedule out of North Charleston, SC on W2.

Propulsion Engineer

Qualifications:

• Computer Aided Design (CAD) Experience: Proficiency in using CAD tools for drafting and design.
  
• Education and Experience:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the Maritime Industry.
• Test Experience:
  
  • Ability to write test procedures and conduct test events related to propulsion systems.
• Technical Writing Skills:
  
  • Experience in developing:
    • Work Items
    • Technical Manuals
    • Training Manuals
    • Technical Proposals
    • Ship Checks for cost estimates and engineering changes.
• R&D and Production Support:
  
  • Provide support for Research and Development (R&D) projects.
  • Collaborate with the Production team to quickly identify and resolve problems.
• Advanced Engineering Concepts:
  
  • Research, develop, and apply advanced engineering concepts to solve complex manufacturing problems.
• Design Review:
  
  • Review new designs for production feasibility, considering factors such as cost, quality, safety, and delivery.
• Project Management:
  
  • Manage and prioritize multiple project timelines effectively.
• System Optimization:
  
  • Ability to optimize, add new features, and improve existing control systems.
• Field Experience:
  
  • Familiarity with field upgrades and startups.
• Mechanical Troubleshooting:
  
  • Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting.
• Travel Flexibility:
  
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
