Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician in Clarksville, TN is a multi-functional role with its main purpose being to ensure the integrity and quality of products being received and shipped as part of a high volume Pressure Sensitive Coating manufacturing facility. Employee will be responsible for performing a number of detailed procedures for in-line quality checks and raw material inspections.

Environment: Temperature controlled manufacturing / warehouse facility

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*Perform specific quality analysis, Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA), testing on in-process material as well as incoming raw stock materials as needed.

*Monitor aesthetic quality of in-process material while making Operations Level decisions on acceptable quality, run speeds, and potential raw material issues.

*Report any specific issues on quality, speed, or defective raw materials to Manager on a daily basis along with the proper documentation.

*Prepare Certificate of Analysis's (COA) for customers and periodic process capability analysis.

*Notify and/or advise production operators on current quality standards as well as facilitate any quality standard revisions.

*New Gauge Implementation - heavily involved in the testing, acceptance, and implementation of new gauges as needed.

*Perform testing on special requests/projects.

*Facilitate the communication of quality/processing issues between shifts.

*Must follow applicable Food Safety policies and procedures.


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED

*Minimum of High School Diploma is required with an Associates degree or higher preferred.

*1 or more years of experience in production/operations required.

*Prior experience in quality preferred.

*Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts both in person and using various methods of electronic media.

*Ability to manage time and work effectively with minimal supervision.

*Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

*Ability to work with internal and external individuals, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.

*Ability to use and a working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Explorer).

*Highly organized, detail oriented, and data driven.

*Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth.

*Good written and verbal communication skills.

*Ability to follow standard test methods and use necessary test gauges.

*Working knowledge of ISO quality management systems requirements preferred.

*Basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) knowledge.

*Ability to influence others in their proper use of quality principles, following procedures, and adherence to all company policies.

*Willing to work overtime as directed and versatile with respect to coverage for departmental vacation or absences.

*A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Working Conditions

*Ability to lift 50 lbs.

*Ability to stand for long periods of time

*Must be able to work 6 pm - 6 am (rotating schedule)

*Ability to perform repetitive upper body movements to include reaching, twisting, and lifting arms above shoulder level.
