JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Performs the inspection function and testing as required by Ropak Corporation Quality Control Procedures, Manufacturing Specifications and divisional Standard and Quality Operating Procedures
  • Coordination of and involvement in rework operations and related documentation
  • Training and orientation of production personnel in defect identification, Good Manufacturing/Hygiene Practices (GMP)
  • Adherence to Quality Inspection Procedures
  • Manage all inventory in the quality hold area
  • Conducts daily performance testing on all product running in production as required
  • Assists in the investigation of all customer complaints
  • Record data and compile information sheets
Requirements:
  • High school diploma and minimum two years' related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior quality experience an asset
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English and ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, safety labels and procedure manuals written in English
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; exposure to statistical concepts is considered an asset
  • Highly motivated, organized and detail oriented with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
  • Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals
  • Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner
  • Comfortable communicating, interacting and leading employees
  • Ability to perform some physical duties requiring average strength, including manual lifting and working in tight quarters
  • for inspection and for searching for proper product
  • Basic computer literacy: Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
