Delta Star has an immediate opening for a Quality Auditor (DSE).

Full Time, Salary Position

Delta Star provides power solutions for utilities across North America. This includes the manufacturing of medium-power transformers, mobile transformers, mobile electrical substations, trailers, and unitized substations. We offer power transformers for utility applications including power and distribution, transmission voltages, system ties, and automatic voltage regulations, as well as industrial applications. Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Service business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance.

PURPOSE

Conduct daily internal product/process audits, maintain product quality records, and provide quality control support throughout operations. Promote the Quality Management System, continuous improvement, teamwork, customer satisfaction, and individual job excellence. Report non-conformances, control non-conforming material, and participate in the identification of corrective actions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform detailed dimensional inspection of component parts.
  • Resolve customer issues.
  • Maintain filing of supplier documentation.
  • Verify that equipment is manufactured and tested to specified requirements.
  • Occasionally perform inspection and witness activities at customer or supplier sites.
  • Assist the QA leaders as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Higher education, including a degree in technical discipline, is preferred.
  • Manufacturing/Quality experience in factory environment required. Transformer experience is highly preferred.
  • Six Sigma belt or training is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills and good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and able to use basic Quality Measurement tools.
  • Able to work unscheduled overtime to support Operations, productions schedules, and resolve quality issues.
  • This is a daytime position that will cover weekends on rotation.
