This role is based out of our corporate HQ located in downtown Chicago and our five manufacturing plants in the Chicagoland area and will be a hybrid in-person/remote role. Minimal travel (up to 10%) annually.

Reporting to the Consumer Affairs Manager, the Quality Data Analyst, Consumer Affairs, will provide data that drives business decisions on every level within the company. As part of the Quality department, the Consumer Affairs Data Analyst has an eye for what drives business performance and analyzes data to make recommendations for improvement in efficiency and productivity. Your ability to work in fast-paced environment, a strong attention to detail, a helpful can-do attitude, creative problem-solving abilities, and excellent customer service skills will ensure your success in this critical position. In this position, you will interact closely with the R&D, QA, Marketing, and Plant Operations teams daily, transforming data into readable, goal-driven reports for continued innovation and growth.

Ways you will make a difference

  • Gather, analyze, and report on consumer data trends while supporting cross functional teams with strategies and tactics for improvement
  • Work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
  • Provide regular updates to product hierarchy in Consumer Feedback Database, matching values in SAP with Salesforce exports
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cutting-edge analytic systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex data sets
  • Export and analyze data trends on consumer complaints process performance, including average days to close and key drivers by manufacturing plant and issue type
  • Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for data sets
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies while developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations (using what platforms) through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources
  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources (Salesforce, Tableau, etc) and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong time management and organization skills with a sense of urgency and attention to detail and follow-up
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment marked by ambiguity
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with a strong drive for results and ability to bring projects to completion
  • Curious and self-motivated
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM reporting tool
  • Understanding of data visualization tools such as Tableau

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred in an analytical field or equivalent professional experience
  • 2-3 years of experience analyzing consumer data and providing insights that drive business, including research methods and statistics
  • Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
  • Proven analytical experience, especially in data mining, evaluation, analysis, and visualization
  • Customer service experience in a consumer products company a plus
