Quality Engineer (ISO 9001)

Salary: $110,000.00 USD Annually - $140,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
The Judge Group is currently seeking a Quality Engineer with large industrial manufacturing experience for a Fortune 500 aerospace manufacturer in Montmorenci, SC.

This is a rapid promotion opportunity for a high potential candidate.

COMPENSATION: 140k plus bonus

MUST HAVE - B.S. Engineering or Applied Science discipline

MUST HAVE - Knowledge of ISO9001 or similar quality system (AS9100, ISO13485, IATF16949)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engineering-

- Data driven to sort through thousands of data points to properly identify common cause vs special cause problems

- Quickly sort though hundreds of SPC type plots and identify trends before they become a problem

ISO Expert duties-

- Ensure that we easily pass all audits

- Simplify our current system and eliminate unnecessary processes

- Make our ISO system help us improve vs a distraction from business needs

Training-

- Work with Operators/Trainers/Maintenance team members

- Quantify product defects and implement cost effective tools to remove subjectivity

Time Management-

- Spend time on shop floor (20%)

- Visit customers (20%)

- Manage QEs/Staff (40%)

- Be a QE for subset of products (20%)

Quality systems improvement:

- Investigative root cause analysis via designed experiments

- Tighten specifications where we can and where it adds value to Customer

- Take an active role in ensuring quality and reliability

- Monitor production processes

- Implement quality assurance measures

- Establish and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs)

- Identify opportunities for process optimization (Root cause analysis, Corrective/Preventive actions)

- Conduct internal audits

- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives

- Conduct statistical studies of process capability and process control

- Approves work instructions, SOPs, forms, and other QMS documents

- Implement processes and tools, provide system reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

- B.S. Engineering or Applied Science discipline

- 3+ years' experience in the Quality Engineering/Assurance field in applying SPC techniques preferred

- Knowledge of ISO9001 or similar quality system (AS9100, ISO13485, IATF16949)

- ASQ certification preferred
