Area of Development:

Develop Quality Technician skills and experience related determining product quality, document control, calibration, product approval, weld control, and receiving inspection systems. Develop experience in operator training on quality related issues.

Specific Areas of Training and Assignments:

1. Inspect, evaluate and record results of purchased components using the proper inspection in accordance with Receiving Inspection Instructions.

2. Inspect and evaluate components and suspensions returned from customers and specify work necessary before components can be returned to stock.

3. Assist in maintaining gage calibration system to insure gages are calibrated to schedule and all proper documentation is maintained.

4. Develop working knowledge of M.R.B. area and ensure that area is controlled for accuracy.

5. Inspect assembled components for Assembly and monitor wheel end assembly.

6. Develop working knowledge of all Production processes including Heat Treat, Weld, Machining, Paint and Assembly

7. Develop working knowledge of process audits and dock audits

8. Knowledge of waiting to ship audits for customer product.

Qualifications:

• Engineering or related technical degree is a plus.

• Two years of welding, metal fabrication and machining experience a plus.

• Prior experience in areas of Quality Assurance considered a plus.

• Must have basic computer knowledge (word processing, databases, and graphing software).

• Basic blueprint reading.

• Possess strong written and oral communication skills.

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with different levels of management and production personnel.

• Proficient in basic problem solving skills.

• Reliability is a requirement.

• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.

• Self-motivated
