Job Title: Recruiter Department: Human Resources

Reports to: Human Resource Manger FLSA Status: Hourly

Summary : Responsible for the external full lifecycle recruitment process for all hourly applicants, includin g the management of the job posting process. T he recruiter will interact extensively with Leaders to ensure alignment of recruitment strategies with the organization's business and hiring priorities. Ensure all hiring practices are compliant and consistent across all levels of the organization, providing an Equal Employment Opportunity for all applicants.

Essential Functions :

  • De velop candidate talent pools through sourcing channels, recruitment campaigns, internet searches, networking groups, social media, database search, referrals, advertising , community outreach, and job fairs.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community centers, colleges, media, and internet sites; provide organization information, oppor tunities, and benefits; make presentations to highlight opportunities at ReaderLink .
  • Proactively builds an ongoing pipeline of qualified candidates for critical and repeat positions to ens ure future talent needs are met.
  • Prepare job postings and advertisement s for identified open positions and the manage requisition process.
  • Assist other distribution centers based on current and anticipated requisition load.
  • Screen resumes /applications , determine applicant qualifications, disposition all c andidates, and coordinate interviews while ensuring a positive and consistent candidate experience.
  • Complete offer letter preparation, reference, and background checks and on-boarding activities.
  • Maintain proactive direct communication with candidates during the recruitment life cycle.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules .
  • Ensure 100% data integrity in ATS System and properly document the talent acquisition process for each job opening to ensure EEO compliance and best practices.
  • Maintain tracking and disposition of applicant s in ATS.

Non-Essential Functions :

  • Work closely with center managers to assure proper staffing is always in place to handle the workload as needed.
  • Profici ency with computer systems.
  • Must be able to shift priorities easily.
  • Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives.
  • Other duties may be assigned, directed or requested.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university/college required.
  • 2+ year's recruitment experience .
  • Proven effective interviewing skills .
  • Adept listening and positive communication skills.
  • High volume recruiting experience in a manufacturing/retail environment strongly preferred .
  • Prior experience utilizing ATS required.
  • Must be internet savvy and experienced in soci al media.
  • Proven skills in relationship building, critical thinking, and verbal/written communication .
  • Ability to work independently and stron g team player.
  • Creativity and initiative in fulfilling hiring needs.
  • Strong public speaking skills helpful.
  • Positive facilitation capabilities in working across diverse groups of people.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Travel /driving to distribution centers may be required to support the recruiting function.

  • Must be able to sit for 5 hours per day
  • Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching and/or typing
  • Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers, and handle or feel objects


Language Skills :

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal .
  • Ability to speak with all levels of the organization .
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals .
  • Be able to write and speak fluently in English .


Mathematical Skills:

  • Must be proficient in mathematics .
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's .


Reasoning Ability:

  • Must possess solid judgment and strong decision making skills to independently manage this fast paced customer service driven operation.


Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • The work performed is in a warehouse environment .
  • The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery .
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels .
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment .
