POSITION SUMMARY

Regional Sales Director, Telecom (RSD) is responsible for leading an account management and regional sales support team focused on the performance of Vertiv's DC Power and Outside Plant business in North America (US and Canada). The RSD's primary goal is to generate strong, consistent revenue growth via manufacturer's representatives for Vertiv's DC Power and Outside Plant portfolio. The RSD will be responsible for the strategy, tactics and overall business performance of an assigned regional sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Leadership and development to assigned sales team.
  • Develop, present, and execute on a sales plan for defined regions that ensures attainment of company goals and profitability.
  • Recruit, activate and grow all partners in their assigned territory, including regional development of national accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic channel plans for the DC Power and Outside Plant market.
  • Provide accurate feedback to management on wins/losses and trends.
  • Coordinate and lead activities with dedicated Inside Sales Rep to maximize our ability to close on new business opportunities.
  • Consult with management in formulating a sales and marketing strategy.
  • Interface with local, regional, and national distribution accounts management and sales.
  • Determine and oversee local tradeshow selections, scheduling, and coverage.
  • Ensure a high caliber customer response and satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ year's experience in selling or related roles of increasing responsibility
  • 5+ years directly leading a sales team to achieve revenue goals.
  • Strong communication skills are required in written, oral, and visual media.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to a rapidly changing market.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize leads through multiple channels.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capable of resolving contract and product issues.
  • Understanding of Vertiv's entire product and services portfolio with a focus on the DC Power and Outside Plant market(s).
  • Team player with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects under a heavy travel schedule.
  • High degree of independent judgment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix management environment and with all levels within the organization.
  • Working knowledge of the telecommunications Industry preferred.
  • Experience working with DC Power and Outside Plant channel partners is preferred.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required.

TRAVEL TIME REQUIRED
  • 50%

The anticipated total compensation for this role in the CO, CT, CA, WA, and NYC locality is between $225,000. to $300,00. per year. Total compensation ranges for other geographic localities may vary. The total compensation is based on a 60/40 split including base salary and Vertiv Sales Incentive. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k.
