SUMMARY

As a Registered Nurse - Primary Therapist, your compassionate, patient focused care and demonstrated knowledge of pharmacotherapy treatment and assessment permits patients to be administered psychotropic medications, allowing them the highest quality of life.

STATUS: Full-Time

LOCATION: Clifton Springs Hospital (Behavioral Health)

SCHEDULE: M-F 8-4:30pm

ATTRIBUTES

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
• Strong analytical, computer and communication skills
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Evaluation & Planning. Assess patient's current mental status and ability to follow medical recommendations; formulate a comprehensive treatment plan integrating comprehensive information from the client, chart and other appropriate sources and evaluate intervention of prescribed psychotropic medications; monitor patient's response to psychotropic medications; develop discharge criteria for termination of the patient from treatment
• Patient Care. Provide psychotropic medication education and materials to patient and family members; collaborate with patient and others to review objectives and outcomes of care; engage in therapeutic relationships that focus on patient's needs and provide a structured process for patient to reach objectives outlined in the treatment plan
• Documentation. Accurately document data obtained from psychotropic needs assessment of patient and of collaborations with primary care providers, psychiatrists and other health team members; document all treatment contacts accurately and in accordance with BHN policy

EDUCATION:

• AS: Nursing (Required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)

PAY RANGE: $70,500.00 - $94,300.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
