Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Reliability Engineer in the Minneapolis area

Experience

  • 0-5 years as a technician/engineer
  • Experience working in FDA regulated industry utilizing cGMP.
  • Participate in internal and external regulatory audits, including FDA, EMEA and OSHA
Education / Certification
  • Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in a related technical field or 5 years of experience directly related to cGMP asset lifecycle management
  • Competencies
  • Individual must be capable of performing assignments that have loosely defined objectives and turn objectives into actionable deliverables.
  • Familiar with Root Cause Failure Analysis, Maintenance optimization, Failure Modes Effects Analysis, and Asset Criticality Ranking.
  • Proficient computer skills and be experienced using MS Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
  • Ability manage multi projects of smaller complexity.
  • Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)/Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) such as Maximo, JDE, SAP, etc
  • Physical Demands
  • Occasional climbing of ladders and lifting (25lbs) may be required
  • Will occasionally work in clean-room environment and wear specialized garments (will require removal of make-up and jewelry)
  • Must occasionally wear personal protective equipment (e.g. hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs) due to safety
  • Will occasionally work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, caustics, buffers and bleach that may require personal protection.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, with high expectation for performance

  • Objectives
  • Develop, evaluate, implement asset lifecycle projects
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to site asset maintenance plan strategy.
  • Role will be responsible managing and executing multiple, simultaneous high quality projects on time and budget.
  • Role may serve as Project manager, Engineering Lead, or both roles on any given project. For large, complex projects role will be in a technical support role.
  • Accountability
  • Support implementation of predictive based, usage based, or time based preventative maintenance plans
  • Responsible for working with other engineering functions to assess preventative maintenance requirements centered on reliability methodologies
  • Responsible for establishing asset and maintenance databases compliant with site and cGMP requirements
  • Support maintenance KPI monitoring to improve upon system reliability and reduce maintenance related expenses
  • Responsible for working with other engineering functions to assess critical spares
  • Coordinate staff and equipment resource requirements related to preventative maintenance execution with site maintenance personnel and facility scheduling to ensure limited down time
  • Stay current with industry best practices and technologies related to asset management programs
  • Interface with various roles and departments such as maintenance, metrology, engineering, and quality.
  • Work under supervision and have the ability to plan and prioritize work, knowing when to escalate issues.
