SAS Administrator

Location: Charlotte, NC

Responsibilities:

• Consultation and Planning: Collaborate on complex initiatives with broad impact, focusing on large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering.
• Analysis of Complex Challenges: Review and analyze multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges. Evaluate multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented elements.
• Resolution of Complex Situations: Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations, leveraging a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work strategically with client personnel to meet deliverables effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• Specialty Software Engineering Experience: At least 5 years of Specialty Software Engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, consulting, training, or military experience.
• SAS Administration Skills:
  • SAS 9.4 Suite: 4+ years of hands-on experience as a SAS Administrator in a Linux environment. Tasks include system monitoring, log analysis, performance analysis, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • SAS Grid Administration: 3+ years of hands-on experience as a SAS Grid Administrator in a Linux environment (SAS 9.4 and LSF 9x and 10x). Good knowledge of LSF and Grid Manager.
  • SAS Visual Analytics: 1+ years of hands-on experience administering SAS Visual Analytics (Version SAS 9.4).
  • Linux Proficiency: Understand Linux commands for monitoring SAS jobs and basic functioning within a Linux environment.
  • Scheduler Knowledge: Familiarity with schedulers like Cron, Autosys, and SAS Schedule Manager.
  • SAS Product Understanding: Thorough understanding of SAS products and their integration within an environment.
  • Data Sources Connectivity: Experience connecting SAS to data sources such as Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, and SQL Server.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot SAS platform and client issues to identify root causes.
