Position Purpose:

This role will serve as the sole production scheduler inside the service center location. They will maintain schedules by using AWC core systems, builder schedules, and system driven data to balance, maintain, and create production schedules, which adhere to allocation guidelines, meet customer expectations, and sustain company production demands.

Experience


* Experience in either AWC ordering processes or transportation-related administrative assistant, dispatcher, or other distribution related position is a plus.
* Experience or capability to learn specific company programs. Maestro, Encore and OBS



Skills


* Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite with an advanced proficiency with Excel.
* The ability to learn and utilize assorted freight / traffic information and billing systems.
* Ability to build business relationships and work effectively with all levels of employees within AWC, the customer’s organization, and our outside vendors and suppliers.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent organizational, time management and attention to detail skills
* Concrete understanding of urgency and ability to resolve issues quickly.
* Excellent multi-tasking skills are required.

Education


* A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Logistics or a related field (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Track fully processed orders 12-30 days from delivery utilizing builder schedules and/or websites.
* Manage a centralized email inbox to communicate with internal and external customers.
* Prioritize orders by customer dates while meeting the daily product schedules and load levelling the business to support both manufacturing and logistics.
* Gather necessary data and produce reports
* Assist in preventing dwell build up at carrier locations by load leveling truck allotments.
* Effectively communication to OSM and GM on data related to lead times, supply-chain constraints, and builder adherence to schedules.
* Provide point of contact for customer service, field team and sales in delivery issue resolution
* Set up a priority tracking system to identify orders with an elevated need.
* Support efforts by all members of the American Woodmark Team to continuously improve team, location, and company performance.
* Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
* Supervisory Responsibilities:


* Typically, this position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

* Language Skills:


* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common distribution and business publications, financial reports, and legal documents or summaries. As well as;
* Listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers/clients.
* Develop presentations to be delivered to Team management.
* Mathematical Skills:


* Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, as well as;
* Apply mathematical operations to such tasks as statistical math calculations, analyzing and correlating data, and compilation of financial data.
* Reasoning Ability:


* Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Interpret an assorted number of tasks or instructions.
* Physical Demands:


* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is required to have good physical dexterity. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Working Conditions:


* Typical alternative work environment. In office work may be required from time to time. The noise level is usually moderate. Minimum travel required.

* Travel Requirements:


* Typically, travel is not required for this position
