In this role you will manage the Primary Materials Sales for North America. This role is responsible for the territory of TX, MS, LA and AR.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Identify and develop Business opportunities for Malvern Panalytical and build relationships with customers and thought leaders in the territory.
  • Take ownership of all Malvern Panalytical products and solutions in the Primary Materials sector of the territory.
  • Direct selling/closing sales of Primary Materials products and solutions in the territory through sales visits, virtual customer engagements, conferences, exhibitions etc.
  • Work as necessary with the Primary Materials Team to evaluate and secure technical/application issues and coordination of product demonstrations.
  • Work in close cooperation with Primary Materials Technical and Product Team - to secure business and maximize sales of all products and solutions within region.
  • Lead account development activities ensuring we understand the key processes of targeted customers.
  • Play an integral part on the key/target account commercial team.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with our customer base, and ensure we become the "go to" provider with our entire portfolio of solutions.
  • Proactively generate new commercial opportunities for all technologies.
  • Update CRM Solution regularly.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Work in close cooperation with all Malvern Panalytical Sales Colleagues in territory to support sales of Malvern Panalytical products and solutions within other sectors of the territory.
  • Provide monthly report summarizing: prior month activities, won and lost orders, forecast, market conditions, competitive analysis and next monthly plans, forecast.
  • Evaluate performance, market conditions of Territory to propose annual Territory Sales Plan for the Primary Materials sector within the territory.

What do you need to be successful in this role?
  • Proven experience in the sales of capital equipment to the Primary Materials sector. Ideally should have a minimum of 5 years' proven commercial experience related to novel business development, (i.e. sales development or applied research in the application of novel, disruptive products/technologies, high technology, capital instrumentation to the process control side of the Primary Materials industry sectors).

  • For this position we are looking for someone with direct selling experience to the process control of cement, metals or mining and minerals industry or a deep insight into the needs and challenges faced by these industries and how Malvern Panalytical product portfolio can help them solve those issues.
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in relevant science or engineering. Geology, Chemical Engineering, or Mining Engineering preferred.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills including, communication, accountability, and the ability to understand customer needs and how best to handle these
