Working hours for this position consist of a 7.5 hour period per day Monday through Friday. Specific work hours to be agreed upon by the supervisor and employee at the onset of employment.
Summary:Computes, classifies, records, verifies and reports on numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Accounting from accredited four-year college or university; or CPA certificate; or Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Business with at least twelve credits in accounting. Three years accounting-related experience required. Experience in grant accounting and/or grant auditing highly preferred.
Communication Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to read and interpret legal contracts and federal and state grant documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to use PV tables and factors.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computerized accounting systems and controls, as well as experience with Word Processing software.
Must possess a high level of proficiency and expertise in the use of spreadsheet software.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
