What You Will Do

Responsible for managing the assigned categories across all factories in the Americas, delivering commercial agreements which optimize value for money. Additionally, the Buyer is responsible to develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and deliver quality, supply, and cost performance across factories while maintaining all regulatory mandates for materials. Manage the relationships with the suppliers for the assigned categories. Collaborate with Global Procurement on category management. Develop peer relationships and continually collaborate with key stakeholders ensuring that commercial delivery and internal service are equally balanced.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Duties and Responsibilities:

Category Management and Procurement for the purchase of all NTMs for the Region

  • Category Management and Procurement for the purchase of all NTMs for the Region
  • Lead the negotiation and delivery of commercial agreements which optimise value for money
  • Adhere to standard regional / global procurement processes
  • Ensure early procurement engagement in projects and significant spend areas to maximise procurement's impact
  • Drive continuous improvement within the categories managed
  • Ensure risk management and contingency planning is in place for all key suppliers / materials
  • Lead and manage projects related to the category with appropriate scheduling and risk management, to deliver intended goals.
  • Develop peer relationships and continually work with key stakeholders to obtain their inputs, challenging their needs and KPIs to ensure strategies and supplier base meet business requirements
  • Raise instances of non-compliance to internal stakeholders (where this results in less than optimum benefits been realised)
  • Develop and evidence deep knowledge of the supplier base, emerging technologies and relevant materials markets, to conduct analysis and planning for effective supplier negotiations which deliver a world class cost base
  • Work within the ITGB Procurement team and IB Global Procurement in adherence of all standards and expectations on NTM procurement process.
  • Work with ITGB's Internal Compliance Group to ensure all aspects of Direct Procurement is compliant with Legal and Regulatory expectations
Create, lead and implement complex Procurement sourcing strategies
  • Cost management of the assigned categories, through analysis, negotiation and tracking of material cost level, aiming for a yearly target reduction
  • Review spends for Total Cost of Ownership opportunities, including process improvements
  • Formulate effective negotiation strategies and lead negotiation planning and execution
  • Evaluate current and new suppliers and conduct tenders, RFP, RFQ and projects
  • Utilize ITGB Risk Management process and audit system for evaluation of NTM suppliers
Contract management of contracts and agreements, including upholding ITGB Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) with existing and new suppliers
  • Able to negotiate high complexity contracts, to propose clause adjustments with Legal and secure desired commercial topics through contracts.
  • Manage relationships and performance of suppliers, including Business Review meetings
  • Understands relevant laws, regulations and organizational requirements.
  • Administer contract performance, including roll-out, delivery, receipt, warranty, damages, and insurance for selected contracts
  • Manage negotiated price files with factories and Finance
  • Ensure that ITGB is getting value for money and what was initially agreed in the contract

Qualifications

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field of study and 5+ years related work experience to include, but is not limited to category management/sourcing experience
  • 1+ years supervisory experience
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
Knowledge of:
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams
    • Sound knowledge of analysis in Excel
    • Strong PowerPoint knowledge
  • Sound procurement knowledge (tendering process, procurement terminology)

  • Travel domestically up to 10% of the time and internationally up to 5% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish fluently

Work Environment and Physical Demand

  • Requires light physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves light weight objects (up to 10 lbs.)
  • Sits for prolonged periods of time
  • Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Requires prolonged machine operation including computer and keyboard equipment
  • Exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions including second-hand smoke and/or vape
