Senior Diversity and Inclusion Specialist

The Senior Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Specialist will manage and facilitate the execution and delivery of programs, initiatives, processes and enhancement of the global D&I program. Under the direction of the Director, Diversity & Inclusion, the role will be a key partner for the Diversity & Inclusion Council in driving the development and delivery of projects and initiatives that support Mosaic's D&I objectives, supporting change management and delivering value for our evolving business needs.

Where You'll Work:

This is a hybrid role that is based out of our FishHawk office (located at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive, Lithia, FL). Presently, our Learning team works 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remotely. You can expect to spend ~10% of your time traveling within the U.S. and Canada.

What You'll Do:

Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of day-to-day D&I Program needs as well as projects that will have a long-term impact on our business objectives. Utilize data analysis to recommend appropriate avenues for executing program goals and working with stakeholders to develop, coordinate and deliver on D&I initiatives. Facilitate the execution of global D&I programs, including managing operational needs of the Program, cross-functional projects and special initiatives by:

  • Participating in the development of operational objectives and develop project plans that include objectives, business requirements, alternative solutions, resource requirements, budgets, and timelines with milestones.
  • Conducting project risk assessments and developing contingency plans to accommodate unforeseen events.
  • Responsible for communicating and managing expectations, highlighting and resolving issues and barriers to timely delivery of milestones, ensuring regular communications and managing internal and external activities.
  • Respond to the needs of Program leads, D&I Council Delegates and other stakeholders with innovative, timely and valuable information, data, and support.
  • Utilizing existing Project Management Office and IT processes to collaborate, innovate, select, and implement the frameworks, methodologies, and tools to optimize our global D&I strategy.

Develops and manages positive and collaborative relationships with D&I Council and Employee Inclusion Network Leaders. Provides process consulting and support. Prepares and maintains collaboration, cooperation, and communication across functions and between team members and provides key support for the team and company to achieve stated goals and objectives.

Ensure transparency, visibility and provide progress status updates and relevant risks, issues and opportunities to D&I leadership, and others involved with the global D&I program. Develop content, communications, presentations, reports and/or dashboards to communicate priorities, projects, and progress to leadership as well as internal and external stakeholders.

In partnership with key internal stakeholders, drive accountability through tracking D&I goals, metrics, progress, and outcomes to be shared with leadership and internal stakeholders. Works with work-stream teams to develop metrics to track and report success of delivered programs. Fulfill change management needs for program efforts and complete change management deliverables.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Psychology, Project Management, Public Affairs, Human Resources or related field
  • For those candidates without a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of equivalent work experience is acceptable
  • Will accept 5-7 years equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years of HR or related professional experience
  • 2 years of experience in the diversity and inclusion space
  • Sound experience managing multiple cross-functional projects while successfully meeting time deadlines and budget parameters.
  • Passion for diversity and inclusion and desire to foster greater inclusivity within the company is a must.
  • Exhibits high Emotional Intelligence and is confident discussing issues related to race, inequality and injustice with employees, leaders, external partners
  • Proven ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner
  • Strong planning, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills with ability to track and remove impediments
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal, written, listening and presentation skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team across the organization and cultures
  • Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Teams

Bonus Points If You Have:
  • Certification in Diversity & Inclusion, Human Resources and/or Project Management
  • HR project management experience
  • Diversity & Inclusion experience
  • Experience coordinating global project teams and time zones
  • Data Analysis experience a plus
  • Experience networking and making new connections as part of outreach and/or recruitment
