Senior Electrical Engineer (North Carolina)

GBA, a professional, full service architectural and engineering firm is seeking a qualified candidate to fill an Electrical Engineer position in our Life Sciences group in our Lenexa, KS OR Broomfield, CO OR Cary, NC office. This group specializes in the work in the Pharma/Bio-Pharma industry and serves many of the top companies as an integrated team of architects, engineers, commissioning specialists, and project managers. GBA offers the opportunity to work on a large variety of projects from start to finish, in a collaborative team environment, with room for career growth and development.

Responsibilities:

• Project Management multi-discipline team
• Financial management of project budgets
• Client, Owner, Contractor interface
• Electrical power systems design including switchboards, generators, ATS's and UPS's.
• Power distribution - medium and low voltages
• Arc Flash, coordination, and short circuit studies
• Electrical load calculations
• Facility evaluations, assessments, engineering studies, and trouble shooting
• Project QA/QC
• Mentor, coach, and develop staff

Requirements:

• Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer
• BS in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Revit is highly desired
• SKM experience is beneficial
• Organizational skills with an attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Interested in working in a collaborative team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software - Word, Excel, Outlook
